Brain Modulation Lab welcomes PhD student Latané Bullock

This week we welcomed Latané Bullock to the lab. Latané rotated with our collaborator Dr. Frank Guenther at Boston University last year. In that rotation, he analyzed data from the intraoperative speech volume task, characterizing how participants changed their voice in response to background noise. This fall, he worked with the brain recordings from that task to begin to understand what brain mechanisms are associated with changes in voice. We are excited to have Latané join the lab for the remainder of his Ph.D., where he will continue uncovering the neural systems involved in speech production and how these systems can go awry in movement disorders like Parkinson’s disease.
