Andreas Horn, MD, PhD

Andreas is a medical scientist with training in neuroimaging, movement disorders, software development and both invasive and noninvasive brain stimulation. He has spent the last ten years including a PhD focused on developing and improving methods to analyze brain stimulation sites and how their whole brain effects are mediated via distributed structural and functional brain networks. He is the lead developer of a scientific software that facilitates these types of analyses (www.lead-dbs.org). He is the group leader of the Network Stimulation Laboratory at Brigham & Women’s Hospital & Massachusetts General Hospital Boston and Charité – University Medicine Berlin (www.netstim.org) where they apply these methods to study network interactions of neuromodulation in the human brain.
